What Is Liposuction?
Liposuction is a surgical body contouring procedure that removes fat from specific areas of the body that don’t respond to diet and exercise. A small, hollow tube called a cannula is inserted through tiny incisions near the treatment area. The cannula loosens and suctions out the fat.

What To Expect Before & During Surgery

During surgery: Liposuction is typically performed under general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation, depending on the treatment areas and amount of fat being removed. Dr. Curtsinger makes small incisions near the target zones and uses a cannula to break up and suction out excess fat.
After surgery: Once the procedure is complete, you’ll be fitted with a compression garment to help minimize swelling and support your new contours. Most patients return home the same day with aftercare instructions in hand.
