Recovery & Aftercare
JUVÉDERM requires little downtime. You may experience mild swelling or bruising for a few days. For 24 hours after treatment, avoid alcohol, vigorous exercise, and sun exposure. Most patients return to normal activities the same day. You’ll receive detailed aftercare guidance to protect your results.
How Treatment Works
JUVÉDERM is injected beneath the skin using a fine needle or cannula. Formulas such as Ultra, Volbella®, Vollure®, Volux®, and Voluma® each have unique properties suited to different areas and depths. For example, Voluma is excellent for mid-face volume, while Volbella is often used to refine the lips and perioral lines.
Dr. Curtsinger uses advanced injection techniques and a careful, artistic eye to create balanced results that look refreshed, not “done.” Appointments usually take 30 to 45 minutes, and most patients find the process comfortable thanks to built-in lidocaine and a gentle approach.
